OKEJ at Falsterbo Photo Art Museum

DETTA VAR OKEJ ("This was okay") celebrates the legendary teen magazines Poster and OKEJ, famous in Sweden for their bold, glossy portraits of pop and rock icons. Expect classic shots of Twisted Sister, Van Halen, AC/DC, Kylie Minogue, Samantha Fox, Ozzy Osbourne and Depeche Mode. A joyful flashback to the golden age of posters on bedroom walls!
Amiralen Summer Garden at Folkets Park
A beloved entertainment venue in Malmö is stepping outdoors for summer. Opening on 9 May, Amiralen Summer Garden brings live music, outdoor dining, games and activities for all ages to the leafy surroundings of Folkets Park – Sweden's oldest public park of its kind. Dance Band Festival at Malmö Live
A Swedish cultural staple gets a grand setting on 16 May, when Malmö Live hosts a full-on dance band ("dansband") festival. For international visitors: think catchy live music, big dance floors and a warm, social atmosphere. Bands including Blender, Matz Bladhs, Engdahls and Grönwalls perform across multiple stages, alongside free dance classes, DJs, restaurants and bars. No experience required – just comfortable shoes.
Cantin – Malmö’s New Street Food Park in Varvsstaden
As if Malmö’s food scene wasn’t already wonderfully global, Cantin opens on 20 May as a major new gathering spot for street food lovers. Set in the emerging waterfront district of Varvsstaden, this permanent food park brings together 10–15 independent vendors serving dishes from around the world from food trucks and mobile kitchens, plus bars, outdoor seating and plenty of easy summer atmosphere.
